Following on from our earlier blog on Cyberbullying Solutions: New Tool from MTV, we are pleased to bring you this latest update from MTV …
Draw Your Line is “a place where MTV celebrates all the ways you and your friends are taking action to stop the spread of digital abuse (cyberbullying, sexting, textual harassment, etc.). While you’re here, you can also connect to local resources and find other ways to make a difference.” As the website notes, ”MTV’s A THIN LINE campaign was developed to empower you to draw your own line between digital use and digital abuse (which includes issues like sexting, textual harassment and cyberbullying.). As part of the campaign, MTV launched the Redraw the Line Challenge, where you submitted and voted on innovative digital tools aimed at stopping the spread of digital abuse. The winning tool, Draw Your Line (emphasis added), was inspired by an entry from Michael Bastianelli, whose personal experiences with digital abuse motivated him to get involved.
Draw Your Line is a visual representation showing all the ways that you and your friends are taking action to stop the spread of digital abuse. You can submit and view actions, find and suggest local and national resources, and discover new ways to stop the spread of digital abuse.”
Our Editorial: We urge you to take the time to check out this really cool website. It is so encouraging to see young people working together to make a positive difference in their/our online/offline communities.
